Go to SJBMX immediately and watch Dusty, Mike, and Chris Reisner shred the dirt bowl and Watsonville. Videomagography by Chris McMahon #1 Blue Oyster Cult Fan. Pretty soon I hope to have some pictures my Orthopedic Surgeon's backyard pumptrack that I have been building with Mike and Dusty.

Also here is one of my favorite pictures of all time.

VIC MURPHY of course!!

also while searching the phrase "best hill" or "hill bomb" or something I think I stumbled upon Steve Crandall's Blog. It is as awesome as you would expect. Here is the photo I stole from it. Thievery.
Lets all go to the Canyon soon.

WEEKEND WARRIORS!

After working wayy too many hours this summer, team tabletop/team hair farmer decided we needed to take a break and go to Woodward West. Dave Reuss has been down there all summer not using sunscreen and a bunch of buddies were there at the same time, including Art, POWS Jeremy and Abe and others. A good time was had by all, even though our visit was short. We arrived late Friday night and spent all of Saturday riding the trails, with a couple breaks to eat and ride other parks.Dave took some pictures during the day, which looked great, so hopefully a few will pop up and you know you will find them here when they do. Until then here are some quick and occassionally blurry pictures from the weekend. I didn't get any of Jordan, as he ripped his shin open right when I took the bulk of them, and he and I didn't really ride on Sunday, but you know he shredded. I haven't really seen anyone go that high over the LAVS, he was flying!

(I had pretty detailed captions for all these photos but my new posting strategy backfired and I had to take them down. To explain some of them: mandatory foam pit picture. mike flipped so hard that he got blurry. Dusty doesn't own a shirt and looks like he is doing a frontflip. he isnt. Team Tabletop was in effect. Dusty likes the pool coping cause it doesn't come with a notice to appear in court. I like Frosty King and Mike thinks he can surf concrete and likes Raiden and Mortal Combat. Otis was being difficult when I told hime he had to wear sunglasses. I actually rode, and my shoulder felt great, and I slipped in some photographic proof. I even jumped the rollercoaster line (lower mine shaft) which was awesome. Then we drove home.)

NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS

So, I haven't exactly been cranking out the posts here at sasquatch canyon. I am now a contributor to the village bicycle, a bike culture website based in the bay area, with bicycle reportage from a bunch of U.S. cities. I also got a new job, and have been able to ride a lot more with less pain. Jerome Beeler Van Orman and some friends came through for a surfing and riding trip this last week. They rode the park and we even went up to check out the canyon. It felt good to hit the first few things in the line again. Hopefully the trails remain long enough to fix all the bugs next year, but things are not looking good. There are piles of dirt that have development written all over them at the entrance to the trails. After showing those guys we headed to Scotts Valley park for a sunset session. Ten minutes later we were all sitting on the curb surrounded by cops. Stay away from scotts valley.

we are planning a trip to woodward west in a few weeks to see Dave Reuss, Ron KImler and Ben Kellgren amongst others. The trails are gonna be amazing. I'll try to take some pictures while we are down there.

Here is a little video of an amazing dirt skatepark looking set of trails. mountain school? nah. this place looks AWESOME!!!
