So, Ryan Fowler sent me enough scanned photos to keep the Scanyon going for a month. However, instead of running them all back to back, I present SCAN-yon Sunday. Check back every Sunday for an analog blast from the past. And just to confuse things more, all of today's photos were submitted by Mike.
I would love to do a coffee table bmx book of just shots like these first two with a ton of different riders. Mike's might be the cover. Inert.Invert. Watsonville.Mike has moved enough dirt in his lifetime to build a small country.Chap dog's arm. Mike drew the BMX portion of the tattoo and Jason was so stoked on it that he made it permanent.I have no idea whose number plate this is (and I am not sure Mike does either) but that doesn't make it any less amusing. Let the Pat Juliff comparisons rain down.I have probably said this a million times, but someday we will build a backyard replica of the Ponderosa ramp. Mike with a hip table.Anthony Quiroz, original Funspot. When funspot was a skate only park, we would regularly get ticketed and kicked out because "the park was not built for bikes". When we converted the park into a bike only park we left some ramps untouched.
