SCHRALP!!

had the day off from work, made the best of it with some diggin at a couple choice locations followed by some skatepark action just before dark...when dusty wasn't lookin for mountain lions he was convincing us that he saw sasquatch lurkin in the bushes.
dusty and mike had some sweet doubles routines worked out, they have been watching blades of glory quite a bit lately
mike takes some time out of the bowl to enjoy the sunset
motorbike mike?
euroblurry im moving this weekend. still in the woods, just different woods. close to the trails. otis says that he ran too much today...he feels like this (this is not otis, but he may look like this in a few years if he doesnt stop eating trash)

sasquatch stories volume one

lifted from http://bfpteam.yuku.com/topic/550

1924 - Ape Canyon, Mount St. Helens, Washington. Fred Beck and several other prospectors were puzzled by very large footprints they found in the canyon - until they encountered the beast that made them. They saw a large, ape-like creature peering from behind a tree, watching them. One of the miners leveled his rifle at the creature, shot and possibly grazed it in the head. It ran off out of sight. Later, another creature was seen by Beck. As it stood on the edge of a canyon wall, Beck shot it in the back. It fell, irretrievably, into the canyon. These acts of violence by the humans was not to go unavenged by the Sasquatch. That night, the miners' cabin was attacked by at least two of the primates. For five hours, they pounded on the door and walls, and hurled rocks onto the roof in an attempt to break in. Fortunately, the windowless cabin, built to withstand harsh winters, kept the Sasquatch from entering. As dawn approached, the creatures abandoned their assault. When the miners finally ventured outside, they found numerous Bigfoot prints all around the cabin, and a strip of wood gouged out from between two logs.

everyone who digs at the trails knows that when you are out there you feel as though you are being watched. I think that this is a great story and we should take it to heart, we are all monkeys diggin around in the woods and I for one am totally willing to coexist peacefully with our sasquatch friends, if we are nice to them they are less likely to push trees down right in the middle of the jumps.

Pictures from the park, stories from the trails

Dusty and I went and rode Scotts Valley for a quite a while today. you can find a picture of the one trick pony doin his thing and dusty doing a footjam in a puddle, as well as shredding a wierd boxy kinda thing backwards and forwards. mostly we just took laps in the bowl. like a record. right round. way to go wormhoudt!!

after we were done riding under angry skies we went and dug for a bit. the drains are working great, after 5 inches of rain the trails were fine. widened a landing and got dirt in my eye. oh...almost forgot, could be the best picture ever... pilfered from the fit site.

Vintage Vinyl

vinyl bmx clip. old video. i hear the new video is amazing.

craigslist

so, i would say i check craigslist daily, usually for jobs, as I am always broke and in the market for a new one but i also check the bike section daily...i just discovered this gem of an ad,
"still in the box!!!! OMG! freestyle BMX. totally win the x-games, brah! totally hit the streets with your dumb friends and pop wheelies. what was that one teen movie about the freestyle bicyclists? i don't remember, but you can be like those guys!
totally awesome!
this bike needs to be put together. your kid would be pumped! they have a birthday coming up, and they've been whining like,
"mom/dad!!!! i totally want a brand new killer BMX freestyle bike so i can shred the streets like(insert famous bicyclist name here)!!!! biff at school has one, and he says it's soooooo cool!"
and you look on the web, and you can't help but think to yourself that these bikes are pretty expensive...and when you were a kid you built your bike out of dead birds and that gum that came with topps baseball cards. but then you decide to check the old craigslist, and lo and behold, your answer is right here!
i cannot stress enough that this bike has never been used. hell, it's still not put together! wow!
get back to us soon, and we can work something out.
thanks for reading!
i would've posted a photo, but again, it's not put together, and besides, it's a bike. it has wheels and pedals and handlebars...i'm sure you've seen one before...
WORD!
"
after i finished laughing i figured i had to make a post, oh and the picture wasnt included in the ad but this is what i assume the person is picturing

hall of fame

just watched the new 50/50 video at mikes house, and while the whole thing has a great feel, good music and some amazing trickery i have to say, for me, highlight was fuzzy's part.

i grew up on Fuzzy videos (an answer video we wore out, and ride thunder) and i was so pleased to see him still shredding...and he had an almost entirely trails part. yes!!! i wanted a chrome fuzz so bad back in the day. well, recently i bought some mongoose leathers so soon i will strap on the open face and take some tribute shots...might have to learn can can x ups...

yesterday we were talking about how good french and english trails are, so in honor of that conversation here are two of my favorite english riders on french soil...i dig that long low into the steep one by tigers cages...lions den?

also my middle name is DuHamel, just like motorcycle legend Miguel DuHamel. Its in my blood.

nice little monday

went and checked out a dirt bowl, and some secret trails both of which were amazing..the trails were frightening, but like all great trails easier than they looked. another reason why the summer is gonna be awesome....
after you freak yourself out on some big jumps there is only one thing to do..go to ROSS! Nicole and i went and i found these shoes which as cool as they were, i refrained from buying.
then we walked over to the wallride which looks great..
and on our way out we saw this thing...
the dodge dolphin.
probably gonna rain tonight, i got used to all this sun, now back to work on the trails...which reminds me, if anyone can fabricate one of these i would like to put up a yeti (sasquatch's friend from the east) in the trees at the trails. get back to me on that one.

the first berm is fun. ill leave you with some wise words taken from www.beercreekbmx.com

Beer Creek BMX salutes:
Trail builders and beer runners. Anyone who has ever had their trails plowed. Anyone who has ever had their jumps destroyed. Had their tools stolen or broken. Anyone that has lost a good woman or a job over the love of dirt. People who show up at the trails with only shovels and no bikes. People who dig, while everyone else is riding. People that call in sick on rainy days just to go dig. People who dig to just be alone. The sad man who buries his best friend by some old jump. Not people who dig because of the chip on their shoulder or to out do others, or to shut down the groms. We proudly shake muddy hands. We respect men not for skills but for work ethic and attitude. Cheers to teams of friends who stack thousands of pounds of earth in the name of BMX. Keep on Digging!

and just like Brian Foster says at the end of every interview:

Thanks?
Big Bob at Fit and Robbie at Fox for always looking out. Nate at Primo. Wally Holiday, everyone that digs, anyone who has ever filmed a clip or shot a photo for me. (taken from the vitalbmx.com interview he just did)
