Chris Leung at UCSC? Late September 2001. I think I remember Lrn telling me that this pool was on campus for a hot minute before it got demolished. If you look closely you just can't quite see the dust mask he had to wear because of all the toxic dust in this thing. When I first moved to Santa Cruz in 2001, Lrn and I rode together all the time. Original Funspot, trying to manual all of Meder street, home brew and sabbaticoes. Those were the days. Lrn probably set up this photo but there is a decent chance that Seth Sakamoto clicked the shutter. Seth is a talented skateboarder, as is his brother.
