SCAN-YON SUNDAY

Near Watsonville trails (step up paradise) there used to be square pool that you could ride. You definitely couldn't pump around the corners but it was great for corner pockets (Ryan Fowler demonstrates below) and was a great place to hang out for an afternoon. For many of us it was our first pool experience and it was a good one. It was best to ride to the house, skirt the edge of the property by walking through a field and then hopping the fence in the back. Later it became a permission spot, but that didn't last very long. I'm not sure if the pool is still there but it yielded some good memories.
