Holeshot 's amazing run is coming to a close with issue 9 and it will be a doozy. Something that you will definitely want to get your hands on and keep in a bookshelf, as it will be a box set with tons of different pieces from the larger Holeshot family. Nick has started a Kickstarter

HOLESHOT!
Nick from Holeshot just sent Otis the new issue of HOLESHOT (#5). Otis said the t-shirt was too big for him so he is giving it to me (stoked!) and he even let me look at the zine briefly. Funny ads, a Trievel interview, a TBVO article about cannabis, and tons of other great content make this the best issue yet! Give Otis a biscuit and he might let you look over it or go straight to the source and order some stuff! Money well spent.

Holeshot 7 is ready!
Two posts that are slightly print related in a row? I thought this was the internet? Holeshot. I love the cover for this one. It looks like a book that should unlock the secrets of the universe but instead it will entertain you while you ride the bus or poop. Click here to get a copy. I submitted a little something for this issue as well.

I Sail, I'm a Sailor!
Holeshot issue 6 is now available, so click over and pick one up. Also available from the Holeshot store:
Best Shirt Ever. Dr. Marvin approved.
In totally unrelated news, I found a new program for painting a virtual bike. I had posted one of these a long time ago, but this one works in 3D and you can customize your colors (although that is a little difficult because you have to manage your RGB). Here is my current ride.

KONA
Given unlimited resources I would like to build a replica of Kona with trails attached in Santa Cruz. Never been there, but it sure looks sweet. All of these FBM South of the Boredom edits are great.Nick from Holeshot (who is in the video) also just came out with a Kona fanzine. Pick up a copy.

NICE!
Nick over at HoleShot has been the man behind Nice Brand for a little while now and stuff is getting as awesome as you would imagine. From the banner that reads like the old sticker ads in BMX PLUS, to tons of seemingly unrelated photos posted together, to a team that has two roachin roasters (Ivers and Guillams). It may be winter but everything is sunshine and beers over there. Check it out.

Hole(shot) in one
Holeshot will save us.
Also first person to make a t-shirt that says "Cory will Rave us" with a picture of him on it gets my undying love and respect. And you know Cory is down.

stuff
So, this video is just wayy to good not to send me running for the blog posting controls.
Tom Robinson from Tom C on Vimeo.
Run, dont walk to PAwoods and buy a video to see more stuff like this. And for godsakes go to axelrad or PAwoods and track down the petition and sign it, and then buy some awesome stuff and support a worthy cause.
Also, I spent a few days off the internet and when I returned I was actually excited about wasting my time here on the online. Go to deluxe and Defgrip.net for some great content as usual, particularly a piece on the Trail issue of dig (issue 68, which I am planning on buying 2-3 copies of) and the Jeff Z interview. Interviews are so hot right now. Who the hell does BMX think it is, skateboarding, do we all really care what other people say. And as always Sasquatch Canyon can be found with the other flotsam at the tail-end of the cool wave...that's right the canyon is loosely planning a series of interviews with local and not so local up-and-comers and has-beens. First one Chris Reisner? and maybe expect a more organized post about zines as I recently invested in an issue of HOLESHOT and highly recommend that you do so too. In fact buy a zine, make a zine, just don't start a blog, because they are killing zines and they are useless. oh, and go to life to see the best in both zinery and blogotomy.
AND NOW CELL PHONE PICTURE OVERLOAD
UHOH! Mike is addicted to building things. Somewhere to stay out of the sun during January in Santa Cruz. Super fun. Real pictures soon.

I hope that the BEER CAVE in Redding has this stuff. Although I don't know where the name comes from because when I see C-wood locals getting hurt it isn't because they flip over the handlebars its because they are blacked out, shirtless and playing with broken glass or dirtbikes.
Otis will poop in the water if I tell him to.

Gypsy Lee
FBM/Last Call Distribution nice guy John Lee is apparently featured in the new Case Magazine. I like John. I like CASE. I like pictures of people shralping berms. You should give John a call and tell him you like berms too and then buy some sweet stuff including Gypsy Caravan 3 (FBM, Holeshot and Credence team sections are amazing!).

Tis the Season
EVERYTHING MUST GO! Well, actually I just wanted to point out that I lowered the prices of the t-shirts as there are still a few left (on the left). Get some. Your aunt/grandma/little cousin totally needs a Large Green Canyon shirt for Xmas. As long as you are buying shirts, buy Holeshot as well.

Zine-A Warrior Princess
Best Mail Day Ever. Nick, number one advocate for lo-fi bmx journalism, sent over the the new issue of Holeshot and then Ice Cold showed up. Go get some for yer selves.
Also peep my new favorite shirt, although I'll probably get beat up in this town.

WHAT I DON'T WANT FOR CHRISTMAS
"Oh Ho, I didn't see you come in. SantaSquatch here, just making some last minute preparations for BM-Xmas tomorrow. This year I reached out to some of the good girls and boys that are friends of SantaSquatch to make sure they got exactly what they wanted under their trees. I know they all want what any little sasquatch wants (headless caribou carcass and a hollowed out redwood tree flute) but I wanted to make sure they didn't receive anything they hated. Below, you will find the "WHAT I DON'T WANT FOR CHRISTMAS LIST" of a few sasquatches. Enjoy. Oh and the views expressed below do not necessarily reflect the views of SantaSquatch. Sasquatch love Mike Spinner ;)"

Dear Sasquatch,
This Christmas, I most certainly do not want Matt Beringer's turndowns. Receiving his hairline last year constitutes a lump of coal large enough to atone for a lifetime's worth of naughtiness. Thanks.
